Jacky Godoffe Coming to Slovenia Again

Sunday, 20 January 2013

The International Federation of Sport Climbing has already appointed its first international representatives and officials for the forthcoming World Cup bouldering competition to be hosted at Log - Dragomer. Thus, the organising committee will be very pleased to welcome Jacky Godoffe, the renowned sport climber and highly regarded route setter, taking over the role of the chief route setter once again.

Jacky Godoffe, the 56-year old French climber, competitor and route setter coming from the area of Fontainebleau, has been a very well-known figure in the world climbing scene for decades. Spectacular Opening: Siddharta World Cup Concert

Accompanying Programme: a List of Varied Music and Sports Events

Saturday, 19 January 2013

In 2013, the organising committee of the World Cup bouldering competition at Log - Dragomer focuses not only on perfecting the organisational aspect of the two-day climbing events but will also attempt to provide an attractive accompanying programme for the spectators. Thus, it will bring a wide choice of interesting music and sports events.

The big opening will be performed by the world famous Slovene rock band Siddharta. The so-called Siddharta Word Cup Concert will take place on the night before the competition, i.e. Friday, the 10th of May. The following evening, after the Saturday qualifications, musical rhythms will vibrate: DJ Tey, a well-known Slovene deejay, will put on a techno dance show.

Apart from all the above, the Saturday and Sunday list of events brings several sports attractions like bike trials show, slackline performances, a huge water slide and a climbing tower, the latter two being intended for the spectators to participate in. The bike trials are an attractive discipline of mountain biking, in which the rider on a special bicycle tries to manoeuvre and pass through a dangerous obstacle course without placing their foot on the ground. No less breathtaking is slacklining, the art of walking on the knot of a rigidly taut rope tensioned between two points.

And last but not least: all the visitors will have a chance to have fun using a huge water slide erected at the venue as well as the chance to climb a mobile climbing tower or even compete in a speed climbing race.
